Statement of Faith

A summary of our basic beliefs:

  • Peak Community Church is affiliated with the Church of God Reformation Movement, headquartered in Anderson, Indiana. PEAK stands for People Equipped and Affirmed for the Kingdom.
  • The mission of Peak Community Church is to become a biblically functioning community, living out Kingdom values.
  • The design of Peak Community Church is to help people find and fulfill God’s purpose for living.
  • The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, inspired by God, given through people. Scripture is the final authority in all matters of faith.
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—each of Whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity and the characteristics of personality.
  • We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who lived a life of perfect obedience to the Father and voluntarily atoned for the sins of all by dying on the cross as their substitute, thus accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone. The salvation of mankind is wholly a work of God’s free grace, not the result, in whole or part, of human works or goodness.
  • The Holy Spirit guides believers in understanding and applying the Scripture. His power and control are appropriated by faith, making it possible for the believer to lead a life of Christ-like character and bear the fruit of the spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)
  • God loves you more than you can fathom, and desires a personal, real and intimate relationship with you.
